Biodrum MBBR STP

The Homogenous sewage water from the equalization tank is passed through the inlet side of Biodrum reaction chamber which is layered with specially designed Biomedia

Inside the biodrum chamber the bacterial colony feeds on the organic matter present in the waste sewage water. The organic matter is thus consumed by the bacteria thereby reducing BOD and COD of the waste water.

This water is further processed through sand & carbon filter which removes suspended solids, color and bad odor from the water. This water is then passed through UV treatment/ozonation process for disinfection.

The micro aeration is provided to maintain the aerobic environment inside the biodrum where the aerobic bacteria is multiplied which remains intact on the biomedia as a biofilm.
